The Broncolor Protecting Glass Mat is a genuine OEM replacement part designed to protect the front glass of Picolite and Mobilite 2 flash heads from dust, debris, and accidental contact during use or transport.
What the Broncolor Protecting Glass Mat Is
This mat sits in front of the flash tube on compatible Broncolor heads, acting as a physical barrier that helps extend the life of the flash tube behind it. It's the kind of small accessory that's easy to overlook — until yours is cracked or missing. As a glass component, surface condition is the primary thing to check before buying: each item is individually photographed so you can assess the actual state of the glass — look closely at the listing images for any chips, cracks, or heavy scratching, which are the only real wear points on a part like this.
Compatibility — Picolite and Mobilite 2 Flash Heads
Designed specifically for the Broncolor Picolite and Mobilite 2 flash heads. This is not a universal part — if you're running either of those units, this is the correct OEM flash head accessory for your kit. If you're unsure, compare the part against the listing photos before ordering.
Buying a Used Broncolor Replacement Part
Picking up a second-hand Broncolor Protecting Glass Mat is a straightforward way to restore a used Picolite or Mobilite 2 to full working condition. For a passive protective glass component with no electronics or moving parts, buying pre-owned makes a lot of practical sense. Every item sold through Camera-tweedehands.nl is individually inspected and photographed, and comes with a minimum 12 months warranty.
