Shipping

When we ship your order

We aim to ship every order placed on a working day before 15:00 the same day. Order later, at the weekend or on a public holiday, and we ship the next working day.

Every camera is checked once more and carefully packed before it ships. That occasionally costs an extra day - and saves you a disappointment.

Shipping costs

DestinationCostFree from
Netherlands€ 6.95€ 100
Belgium€ 10.95€ 250
Other EU countries€ 16.95-
Outside the EU€ 79.00-

You always see the exact cost in the final step of checkout, before you pay.

Rather not have it delivered to your home? Delivery to a parcel point near you is also possible, at the same price.

Import charges outside the EU

If we ship your order to a country outside the EU, import duties and local VAT may apply there. Those charges are for the recipient; we have no influence over them and are not responsible for them.

How your order is insured

We ship with tracking and full insurance. While your parcel is in transit, it is our risk: if it arrives damaged or goes missing, we sort it out.

One exception: if you ask the courier to leave the parcel somewhere unattended - by the front door, in the garden, in a shed - the insurance lapses from the moment it is left there. If you choose a locked letterbox or parcel box that is not accessible to everyone, the cover remains in place.

Tracking your order

As soon as your parcel is registered, you receive an email with a tracking link showing exactly where it is.

Collecting from our showroom

Prefer to pick it up yourself? Choose showroom collection at checkout and pick a time slot that suits you. We will have your order ready and waiting. Bring your order number or packing slip and a form of ID.

Returns

Your cooling-off period

If you ordered online, you have a 14-day cooling-off period. It starts the day after you receive the parcel. Within that period you may withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason.

If you buy in our showroom, the cooling-off period does not apply - you were able to inspect and test the camera in person. That is the same in any shop.

What you may do with the camera

The yardstick is simple: you may do what you would do in a shop. Unpack it, switch it on, hold it, take a few test shots, see whether it suits you.

For cameras we apply a limit of 200 shutter actuations at most. That is plenty to judge a camera. If the counter shows a thousand new frames, you have not tried it out - you have used it.

If you go beyond trying it out, we deduct the loss in value from your refund. With clear use - a shoot, an assignment, a holiday - the right of return lapses. A camera that has been used is worth less, and that loss is not ours to carry.

The same applies to damage that was not there when we shipped it.

How to register a return

  1. Email klantenservice@camera-tweedehands.nl with your order number, or use the model form from our terms and conditions.
  2. We will reply with instructions.
  3. Send the camera back within 14 days of your notice, with all accessories and, where possible, in the original packaging.

Our return address:
Camera-tweedehands.nl B.V.
Kerkstraat 47-Bis, 4191 AA Geldermalsen, The Netherlands

What it costs

Return shipping is at your expense. We refund the purchase amount including the shipping costs you paid on the order. If you chose a more expensive shipping option at the time, we refund the amount of our cheapest standard shipping.

When you get your money back

Within 14 days of your return notice, via the same payment method you used for the order. We may wait until we have received the camera, or until you have shown that you have sent it back.

When returns are not possible

  • For purchases made in the showroom.
  • If you bought the camera in combination with trading in other equipment.
  • For business purchases, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.

Something wrong with your order?

Check your purchase right away

Inspect your camera carefully on arrival: does everything work, is there any damage, is it the right model. Pay attention to the glass, the sensor, the body, and whether there is dust in the lens.

Report transport damage or immediately visible defects within 7 days. That deadline is not arbitrary: beyond it the carrier will no longer accept a damage claim, and we can no longer establish whether the damage was there when the parcel shipped.

Something does not match the description

If a defect was not in our description and should have been, report it within 14 days of receipt. We will put it right.

If it was in the description - a scratch we mentioned, for instance - you can of course still use your cooling-off period.

The full rules

This page puts it in plain language. The complete rights and obligations - including the cases not covered here - are in our terms and conditions, articles 8 through 10.
