Question 1

What lens does this Easycover protection fit?

Accepted Answer

This Easycover sleeve is custom-made for the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM. It's a precise fit for that specific lens, not a generic wrap, so controls and mounts stay fully accessible.

Question 2

What is True Timber Kanati Camouflage?

Accepted Answer

True Timber Kanati is a woodland camouflage pattern designed to mimic natural environments. It's a popular choice among hunters and wildlife photographers because its layered depth blends effectively into forest and grassland settings.

Question 3

Does a lens protection cover affect autofocus or image stabilization on the Canon RF 100-500mm?

Accepted Answer

No. The lens protection sits on the outside of the barrel and doesn't interfere with the lens's internal mechanics, AF drive, or IS system. Zoom ring, focus limiter switch and IS buttons all remain fully operable.

Question 4

Is buying a used Easycover lens sleeve worth it?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — lens accessories like protective sleeves see very light wear compared to camera bodies or lenses themselves. A second-hand Easycover in good condition functions identically to a new one. Every pre-owned item on Camera-tweedehands.nl is professionally inspected and comes with a minimum 12 months warranty.

Question 5

Can I use this camouflage sleeve on other Canon RF lenses?

Accepted Answer

This specific sleeve is designed and sized for the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM. Using it on a differently sized lens — even another Canon RF super-telephoto — would result in a poor fit. Easycover makes model-specific versions for other lenses, so it's worth checking compatibility before buying.

Question 6

Does the camo pattern make a real difference for wildlife photography?

Accepted Answer

Many wildlife photographers report that a large white or silver lens barrel is visually conspicuous to birds and mammals. Breaking up that outline with a camo pattern can reduce subject anxiety, especially at closer working distances. It's not magic, but combined with slow movement and good fieldcraft, it helps.
