Who is this lens for?

If you shoot events, weddings, travel, or documentary work on a DSLR with a DX sensor — think Nikon D500, D7500, or D90 — this lens covers nearly every situation in a single barrel. The constant f/2.8 aperture means you keep the same exposure settings whether you're shooting wide at a venue or zoomed in on a detail, which is invaluable when light is unpredictable. At 765g it's a solid chunk of glass, but that weight reflects genuine pro-build quality, including a sealed rubber mount gasket that adds weather resistance. Photographers who want to step up from a kit zoom without buying into a set of primes will find this a compelling used or second-hand option.
