Question 1

What makes the Ricoh Theta Z1 different from other 360 cameras?

Accepted Answer

The Theta Z1 is built around 1-inch CMOS sensors — a notably larger format than what you typically find in consumer-tier 360 cameras. Larger sensors capture more light per pixel, so shadows have more detail and highlights are less likely to blow out — a real advantage when shooting interiors or outdoor scenes with high contrast.

Question 2

Is 51GB of internal storage enough for the Ricoh Theta Z1?

Accepted Answer

For most shooting sessions, yes. The 51GB variant is aimed at professionals who need extended recording time without relying on external storage. Standard 360 video files are large, but 51GB gives you meaningful breathing room for a full day of real estate tours or event coverage before you need to offload to a computer.

Question 3

What video quality does the Ricoh Theta Z1 shoot?

Accepted Answer

The Theta Z1 records up to 3840x1920 resolution — that's 4K equirectangular video, which is the standard format for uploading to platforms like YouTube 360, Facebook 360, and viewing in VR headsets. The 1-inch CMOS sensor contributes to cleaner footage especially in mixed or low-light environments.

Question 4

Can the Ricoh Theta Z1 be used for professional real estate photography?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The 1-inch sensor handles the mixed lighting typical of property interiors far better than smaller-sensor 360 cameras. The compact body mounts on a standard tripod, and the 3840x1920 video output is formatted for direct use on virtual tour platforms — all features that matter when you're delivering polished content to clients.

Question 5

Is buying a used Ricoh Theta Z1 worth it?

Accepted Answer

A second-hand Theta Z1 is one of the smarter ways to get into high-quality 360 imaging. The camera has no moving parts like a zoom mechanism, which means the most wear-prone components simply don't exist. At Camera-tweedehands.nl, every unit is hand-inspected for optical clarity and mechanical function before listing. All units sold here come with a minimum 12 months warranty, so you're buying with confidence.

Question 6

Does the Ricoh Theta Z1 connect to a smartphone?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Theta Z1 is designed to work with the Ricoh Theta companion app, giving you remote control and settings adjustment directly from your phone. This is especially useful when the camera is mounted on a tripod and you want to step out of the frame before triggering the shot.
