About the Sony VG-C2EM Vertical Battery Grip

The Sony VG-C2EM is a vertical battery grip designed for compatible Sony Alpha cameras, adding portrait-orientation controls and dual-battery capacity in a 250g body — no AA batteries supported.

Key Specs

  • Weight: 250g
  • AA battery support: No
  • Adds portrait-orientation shutter release and controls
  • Holds two batteries for extended shooting sessions

Who Is It For?

If you shoot events, weddings or portraits — anything where you're constantly flipping to vertical — the VG-C2EM makes that feel natural instead of awkward. It's also a practical pick for anyone who runs through battery life fast, since you can slot in two packs and keep shooting. At 250g it adds noticeable heft, so it suits photographers who already prefer a larger, more balanced grip in hand.

Buying Used

A pre-owned VG-C2EM is a smart way to add functionality without paying full retail. Every used item on Camera-tweedehands.nl is individually photographed and comes with a minimum 12 months warranty, so you know exactly what you're getting.
