Who is this lens for?

If you shoot portraits, street, or wedding work on a Leica M body — or adapt to a mirrorless camera — the Nokton 75mm f/1.5 ASPH fills a sweet spot that's hard to ignore. The 75mm field of view gives you just enough compression for flattering portraits without needing to stand awkwardly far from your subject, and f/1.5 opens the door to genuinely shallow depth of field in low light. Reviewers consistently note that it renders with a more classic character wide open and transitions to a crisp, modern look stopped down around f/2.8 — making it versatile rather than a one-trick bokeh machine. It's a natural comparison point against the 7Artisans 75mm f/1.25 (which trades some rendering refinement for that extra stop) and the Leica Summilux-M 75mm f/1.4, which costs significantly more. If you're coming from the Voigtländer Ultron 75mm f/1.9, the Nokton gives you a full stop more light at the cost of slightly more size and weight. Buying a used copy here means you get all of that optical character with minimum 12 months warranty and professional inspection behind it.
