Question 1

How many shots can I get from the Broncolor Siros 800 L battery?

Accepted Answer

The Siros 800 L delivers 220 full-power flashes on a single Li-Ion charge. In practice, if you're shooting at lower power settings — which is common in controlled studio or shaded outdoor situations — you'll get noticeably more shots per charge than that figure suggests.

Question 2

How long does it take to recharge the Siros 800 L battery?

Accepted Answer

A full recharge takes 70 minutes. If you're planning a long shoot day, bringing a spare Li-Ion battery pack is a smart move so you're never waiting around between sessions.

Question 3

What color temperature does the Broncolor Siros 800 L produce?

Accepted Answer

The Siros 800 L fires at 5500K, which sits squarely in the daylight range. That makes it easy to mix with natural daylight or other daylight-balanced sources without dealing with color casts in post.

Question 4

Is the 25W LED modeling light on the Siros 800 L actually useful?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a 25W LED modeling light is strong enough to help you predict shadow placement and catchlights before you fire a single flash. It's far more energy-efficient than traditional halogen modeling lights, which also means less heat on your subject during longer portrait sessions.

Question 5

Is buying a used Broncolor Siros 800 L worth it?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, as long as you buy from a platform that inspects and guarantees the gear. Broncolor equipment is built to professional standards and tends to age very well mechanically. A pre-owned Siros 800 L comes with a minimum 12 months warranty here, so you're covered if anything unexpected shows up after purchase.

Question 6

Can the Broncolor Siros 800 L be used without a power outlet?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the built-in Li-Ion battery means the Siros 800 L is fully self-contained and requires no mains power to operate. That's the core reason photographers choose this model over a comparable mains-only strobe: you can set it up in a field, a parking lot, or a rooftop without running cables.
