B+W KSM Cir.Polarizer 60E

The B+W KSM Cir. Polarizer 60E is a circular polarising filter from B+W's Käsemann series, designed to cut glare, deepen blue skies and boost colour saturation straight out of the camera. The '60E' suffix indicates a 60mm thread size (E standing for Einschraubgewinde, the German term for screw-in thread).

What the KSM series is about

B+W's KSM (Käsemann) circular polarisers are known for their sealed-edge construction, which keeps moisture and dust from creeping between the glass elements — a practical detail that matters when you're shooting near water or in dusty conditions. Many B+W filters in this series also feature MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating), a multi-layer coating that resists water, dust, grease and scratches — making it a popular search term for good reason. The circular polarising design keeps autofocus systems working normally, unlike linear polarisers that can confuse a camera's metering and AF sensors.

Key features at a glance

• Käsemann (KSM) sealed-edge polariser construction
• Circular polarising design — compatible with all autofocus systems
• 60mm screw-in thread (E = Einschraubgewinde)
• MRC multi-resistant coating (common to B+W's KSM line)
• Brass filter ring for smooth, corrosion-resistant threading

Who is this filter for?

If you shoot landscapes, travel or architecture with a 60mm filter thread and want noticeably richer colours and less reflective glare without pulling out a grad ND or editing in post, a used B+W KSM CPL is a smart pick. It pairs naturally with mid-range zoom lenses that carry a 60mm front thread. Buying it second-hand means you get the same optical quality at a lower entry point — every item comes with a minimum 12 months warranty. Condition grading and any included accessories (such as a filter case or pouch) are listed on the individual variant page, so check there before purchasing.
