XCD or V system?
XCD lenses are made for the modern X system: a leaf shutter in every lens, which lets you sync flash at any shutter speed. The classic V glass by Carl Zeiss (Planar, Distagon, Sonnar) belongs to the 500 series and is optically impressive even today — and usable on modern cameras too via adapters.
The most popular Hasselblad lenses right now
For the X system the XCD 90mm f/2.5 V and the XCD 38mm f/2.5 V are the mainstays: the 90mm is a sharp, compact portrait lens with beautiful background blur, while the 38mm excels as a versatile standard lens in almost any situation. The XCD 55mm f/2.5 V is also much sought after as a modern all-rounder, and for those who want to go wider the XCD 21mm f/4 is an excellent choice for landscape and architecture.
Used pays off twice here
