Hoya HDX 82mm Circular Polarising Filter

The Hoya HDX 82mm Circular Polarising Filter fits any lens with an 82mm filter thread and reduces reflections, cuts atmospheric haze, and deepens blue skies and foliage colours — all without any post-processing.

What the HDX CPL does

A circular polarising filter works by blocking polarised light — the kind that bounces off water, glass, and wet surfaces. The result is richer, more saturated colours and eliminated glare in a single rotation of the outer ring. The 82mm thread size makes this filter a natural match for large-aperture zoom lenses commonly used in landscape and travel photography.

Who is it for?

If you shoot landscapes, architecture, or anything near water and you want cleaner results straight out of camera, a used Hoya HDX CPL is a practical, low-cost upgrade. Because the effect of a polariser physically cannot be replicated in Lightroom or Photoshop, it remains an essential filter even in a world of heavy post-processing.
