The Leica Visoflex 2 is a clip-on electronic viewfinder (EVF) for Leica cameras without a built-in finder. It slides into the hot shoe, gives you eye-level framing and tilts upward for low-angle work. Buying it used is a sensible way into genuine Leica kit, backed by a minimum 12 months warranty.
What the Visoflex 2 does
On a rangefinder the optical finder shows framelines, not the actual image. The Visoflex 2 shows you exactly what the sensor sees, which helps with precise focusing, wide-angle and long lenses, and adapted glass. The tilting eyepiece lets you look down into the finder when you shoot from hip height or close to the ground.
Compatibility
The Visoflex 2 is made for the Leica M10 and M11 families and the Leica CL. It is not the same accessory as the original Visoflex (Typ 020), which belongs to the Leica M (Typ 240) generation. Check that your body is on Leica's list before you order, or ask us.
Buying a used Leica Visoflex 2
As a clip-on electronic accessory, the Visoflex 2 ages well. On a used unit, check the hot shoe contacts and the tilting hinge, as those are the main points of wear, and look at the display for dead pixels. Accessories and packaging vary between units, so check the photos and description, or ask us. Every item on Camera-tweedehands.nl is inspected, individually photographed and comes with a minimum 12 months warranty.
