7Artisans makes manual, fast primes at prices you would barely pay for a filter — which makes it the playground for anyone chasing character. Our range holds well over 250 lenses, for Leica M, Sony E, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds and more.
Character over clinical sharpness
The fast 50mm f/1.1 for M-mount is the best-known example: dreamy rendering for a tenth of what comparable brand glass costs. The compact 25mm and 35mm f/1.2 primes are favourites on APS-C, and more and more cine variants keep turning up.
Manual glass, inspected by hand
There is no autofocus, so everything depends on the mechanics: we turn every focus ring through its full travel, test the aperture and put the glass under bright light. At this price point copies vary from one to the next — exactly why an inspected used copy is the safest buy here. Trading in is always possible through an online offer.

Buying a used 7Artisans lens: what to look for
7Artisans is a Chinese brand that has been building affordable, fully manual lenses since 2016. No autofocus, no electronics, but a metal barrel, a proper aperture ring and a rendering that is deliberately not clinical. That makes the lenses popular with street and portrait photographers who want to control focus themselves, and with filmmakers after a vintage look without vintage prices.
Because there are no motors or contacts inside, a 7Artisans barely ages. On a used copy we look mainly at the focus ring (smooth, no play), the aperture blades and the glass: scratches, fungus and dust. Everything we sell is tested and the condition is described per item, so you know exactly what you get.
When choosing, check the mount and the sensor format. Many 7Artisans lenses are designed for APS-C or Micro Four Thirds; on full-frame they vignette. The product page lists the mount and whether the lens suits your camera. Not sure? Ask us, or trade in your old lens straight away.
