B+W from Bad Kreuznach is the Rolls-Royce of filters: Schott glass, brass rings and the famous MRC coating. We usually have around 270 B+W filters in stock, from protective to polarising and ND filters.
Why buy this brand used?
A filter of this class lasts for decades β the brass ring never deforms and never jams on your lens β but new it comes at a steep price. Used, you get the best filter glass there is for the money of a mid-range one.
Our inspection
Every filter goes under bright light: the glass must be free of scratches and the coating undamaged, otherwise we simply do not sell it. We test the thread on a lens. Just check your filter size when ordering β and if you have a drawer full of filters yourself, they are welcome for trade-in.

Buying a used B+W filter: which type suits you?
B+W has made filters in Bad Kreuznach since 1947 and has been part of Schneider-Kreuznach since 1985. Its hallmarks are the brass rings that never jam on your lens, Schott glass and the multi-layer MRC coating that fights reflections and fingerprints. The F-Pro and XS-Pro lines differ mainly in thickness: XS-Pro is extra slim for wide-angle lenses.
The main types are the 010 UV-Haze as a protection filter, the KΓ€semann circular polarisers (KSM) for deeper skies and fewer reflections, and the neutral-density filters in fixed strengths for long exposures and video. On a used filter, pay attention to the coating above all: fine scratches do not always show in the photo, but we do list them. We do not sell filters with damaged coating.
Choose the filter size by your lens's thread, usually marked with a β symbol on the front. With a step-up ring you can use one large filter on several lenses. The product page states the size and the exact line.
