Premium Used Hoya Gear

Hoya has made optical glass in Japan since 1941 and also supplies that glass to other manufacturers. Its own filters are organised in lines: HD uses hardened glass four times stronger than normal and a coating that repels water and grease, Fusion One is the keenly priced all-rounder with multi-layer coating, and the ProND series offers neutral-density filters from ND4 to ND100000 with neutral colour. There are also polarising, close-up and effect filters.

On a used filter everything comes down to the glass. We check every item against the light for scratches and coating damage, test the thread on your lens and check that polarisers still rotate smoothly. Small marks on the ring are noted; damaged glass is not something we sell.

The size is printed on the front of your lens (for example ⌀67mm). If you shoot with several lenses, buy the filter in the largest size and use step-up rings. Our product pages state the size and the exact line.
