Microphones look simple, but a capsule can be damaged by moisture or a fall. We test every microphone for signal, noise and frequency response, check the connectors (3.5mm, XLR, USB-C), the switches and, on wireless kits, the pairing, the range and the batteries. Windshields and cables are checked for completeness. The condition notes list everything.
