Premium Used Rotolight Gear

Rotolight from Pinewood Studios near London has existed since 2009 and became known for ring-shaped LED lights that give beautiful, soft light on faces. The special part is the flash function: the NEO, AEOS and Anova can emit a short, bright pulse that works as a high-speed-sync flash, with none of the recycle time of a regular flash and in the same colour as the continuous light. The latest generation (NEO 3, AEOS 2) is RGBWW and delivers over 16 million colours, built-in special effects and a touchscreen; the Titan is the big softlight panel for film sets.

On used Rotolight we test the LED panel for even output and dead LEDs, the flash function via a trigger or hot shoe, the colour temperature control, the screen and the batteries (NP-F or V-Mount, depending on the model). We also check the stand mount and the joystick or touchscreen control panel. It is all in the condition notes.

A NEO 3 on the camera is a light reportage lamp, an AEOS 2 on a light stand a portrait light, and two Anovas carry a small studio. Ask us about the matching batteries and triggers.
