Think Tank Photo was founded in California in 2005 by bag designers and working photographers, and it shows in the thoughtful details: zips you open with one hand, integrated rain covers, dividers that do not sag and pockets where your hand automatically goes. The Airport series (Airport International, Essentials, Navigator, Advantage) is designed around aircraft cabin dimensions, the StreetWalker and BackLight are backpacks for long days, the Retrospective is the leather or canvas shoulder bag for reportage and the Modular line hangs lens pouches from a belt.

On used bags we check every zip, buckle and hook-and-loop, on rollers the wheels, the telescopic handle and the corner guards, the shoulder straps and back panel, the lining and dividers and whether the rain cover is present. Wear on the corners and light stains are noted; a bag with a broken zip or wheel is not sold.
