Nikon Z TC-2x Teleconverter

The Nikon Z TELECONVERTER TC-2.0x doubles the focal length of compatible NIKKOR Z lenses while retaining full autofocus and vibration reduction functionality — all within the native Z mount ecosystem, no adapter needed.

Key Specifications

• Magnification: 2.0x — doubles the effective focal length of your lens
• Lens Mount: Nikon Z (native mirrorless mount, no adapter required)
• AF Compatibility: Full autofocus operation retained on compatible Z lenses
• VR Compatibility: Vibration reduction continues to function through the teleconverter
• Light Loss: 2 stops of light — a 400mm f/4.5 becomes an 800mm f/9
• Size Advantage: Native Z mount means a more compact, lighter combo than F-mount equivalents with an FTZ adapter

Why Choose the Nikon Z TC-2.0x?

Pair it with the NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S and you're working at an effective 800mm — still handholdable, still autofocusing. It's also a legitimate option with the NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S, which gives you a flexible 200–800mm f/9–11 zoom range, useful in good light. Compared to simply cropping in post, the TC-2.0x genuinely resolves finer detail on distant subjects. It's purpose-built for Z-system bodies, so if you're shooting with a Nikon Z8 or Nikon Z9, this is a native way to extend your reach.

Buying a used Nikon Z TC-2.0x

Teleconverters are among the safest second-hand optics to buy — they have no moving glass elements, no focus motor, and no aperture mechanism of their own. That means less to wear out or go wrong compared to a full lens. A pre-owned Nikon Z TC-2.0x in good cosmetic condition almost certainly performs identically to a brand-new one. Every used item on Camera-tweedehands.nl is professionally inspected, individually photographed, and backed by a minimum 12 months warranty, so you can buy with confidence.
