Pentax 6x7 Waist Level Finder

The Pentax 6x7 Waist Level Finder is a dedicated viewfinder accessory for the Pentax 6x7 medium format system, letting you compose shots from a low angle by looking straight down into the finder rather than through an eye-level prism.

What it does

Swapping out your standard prism for a waist level finder changes how you interact with the Pentax 6x7 completely. You get a bright, unobstructed ground glass view of the full medium format frame — ideal for still life, portraits, street photography from the hip, and any situation where getting the camera down low gives you a more interesting perspective.

Who is it for?

If you shoot with a Pentax 6x7 or Pentax 67 and want a more discreet, quieter shooting experience without a bulky prism on top, this finder is a natural fit. It's also popular with photographers who enjoy the slower, more deliberate workflow that a waist level finder encourages — similar in spirit to using a twin-lens reflex camera.
