E, FE or A mount?
All mirrorless Sony cameras (A7, A9, A6000 and ZV series) use the E mount. FE lenses cover full frame and fit every E-mount camera; E lenses are for APS-C. If you still have an older A-mount body (SLT), you'll find A glass here too — and with an LA-EA adapter it can even move along to your new body.
Not just Sony
For the E mount in particular, Sigma (Art, Contemporary), Tamron and Samyang make excellent and often lighter alternatives. Used, the price difference with new glass quickly runs into hundreds of euros, while optical quality hardly ages.
The most popular Sony lenses right now
The FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS tops the list as the favourite of wildlife and sports photographers who want to work with a lot of reach. The FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II is also especially popular, thanks to its versatility for sports, reportage and portraits. For those who prefer to capture everything with one lens, from sweeping landscapes to distant details, the FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS is a valued choice, and the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II remains the go-to standard zoom for sharpness and a fast aperture in any situation.
How we test
Every lens is checked for autofocus, aperture, stabilisation and glass quality. What we find goes honestly into the condition description, with photos of the actual item — with a 12-month warranty. Torn between two lenses? In our showroom in Geldermalsen you simply compare them side by side on your own camera.
