Used action cameras
Action cameras are the small, shockproof filming companions you take into the water, up the mountains or on the bike — anywhere an ordinary camera is too fragile or too big. In this category you'll find used action cams and compact pocket cameras from brands such as GoPro, Insta360 and DJI: ideal for capturing your adventures sharp and steady, up close or at full speed.
The great thing about buying used is that you get a lot of value for your money in this segment. Popular models at the moment are the DJI Osmo Pocket for ultra-compact stabilisation, the Insta360 X3 for versatile 360-degree footage and the GoPro HERO9 Black as a classic, water-resistant action cam. Every camera is professionally inspected before it reaches you.

Buying a used action camera is smart, because these cameras are often barely used and then sold on. Even so, it pays to look closely at the condition: action cams have a hard life and scratches on the lens or housing can affect your image. With us, the cosmetic condition is clearly described for each camera, so you know what you're getting.
What should you look out for
Check whether the supplied battery still lasts a decent time — batteries are wear parts and can usually be bought separately. Also check whether important accessories are included, such as a waterproof housing, mounts or an ND filter set. A camera with the right extras saves you money later. For a pocket camera it is useful to know whether the gimbal moves smoothly and whether the touchscreen responds properly.
Who is an action camera for?
For everyone who wants to film hands-free or in the thick of the action: vloggers, water sports enthusiasts, mountain bikers, travellers and parents who want to keep up with the children. If you mainly want compact, steady footage on the go, the pocket cameras are right for you. If you're after something that can take mud, water and a tumble, a classic action cam is your friend. Popular models at the moment are the DJI Osmo Pocket for on the go, the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro for rugged adventures and the GoPro HERO 13 Black for demanding outdoor use.
