Used Blackmagic Design cameras

Here you'll find used cine cameras from Blackmagic Design: compact filmmaking cameras such as the Pocket Cinema series as well as robust shoulder cameras from the URSA Mini line, plus the newer PYXIS bodies. Blackmagic is loved by videographers for RAW recording, generous dynamic range and colour work in DaVinci Resolve — for a fraction of the price of classic cinema brands. You save considerably on a used body, while the image quality stays the same.

The range runs from affordable entry-level models to serious production cameras. If you want to work in a mobile and agile way, the Pocket line is the right place for you; for longer shoots with external batteries and SDI, a URSA Mini Pro is the logical choice. Also take a look at the broader Digital Cine Cameras category if you want to compare brands side by side.

Buying used Blackmagic Design: what should you look out for?

The Blackmagic line-up covers many working styles. Popular choices among filmmakers are the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro with EF mount, ideal for those who want to combine bags of dynamic range and RAW quality with compatibility with existing Canon EF glass, and the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, a light and affordable entry-level option that is still excellently suited to documentary and gimbal work. If you want more reach towards professional production, a URSA Mini Pro is the well-known workhorse choice, while the newer PYXIS models are interesting if you want to build something modern and modular.

What should you look out for with a used Blackmagic?

Above all, check the lens mount type: Blackmagic supplies the same bodies in EF, PL, L-mount and MFT, so make sure the mount matches your glass. Also look at the condition of the display and the housing, at the sensor (no dead pixels or spots in ISO tests) and at whether accessories such as the battery grip or EVF are included. With URSA models, ask whether the fan runs quietly and whether the media bays work properly. Every camera we sell is professionally inspected and comes with a warranty of at least 12 months, and you have 14 days to return it, so you can take your time testing.

Who is a Blackmagic camera for?

Ideal for videographers, documentary makers and indie filmmakers who want to shoot RAW and like to grade in DaVinci Resolve. The Pocket series suits filmmakers who travel light or do gimbal work; the URSA Mini Pro is made for crews who shoot long days on a shoulder or tripod. Combine your body with the right cine lenses and monitoring for a complete kit.
