Buying used OM System: OM-1, OM-5 and lenses

OM Digital Solutions took over the Olympus camera division in 2021 and has released cameras under the OM System name since 2022. The OM-1 is the flagship: a stacked Micro Four Thirds sensor, 50 frames per second with autofocus, subject recognition for birds, animals and vehicles, and weather sealing (IP53) no other brand in this class matches. The OM-1 Mark II improves the buffer and the autofocus, the OM-5 packs much of that into a smaller body. The lenses carry the M.Zuiko label and fit every Olympus and Panasonic MFT camera.

On used OM System cameras we check the shutter count, the sensor, the stabilisation, the viewfinder and the screen, and the seals. Lenses are tested for autofocus, Sync IS, aperture and glass. Because these cameras are popular with nature and travel photographers, we pay extra attention to dust and moisture.

Coming from Olympus, your whole lens collection simply carries on. Starting fresh? Combine an OM-1 with the 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II or the 12-100mm f/4. Your old Olympus kit can be traded in with us.
